Our Christian Values

Our Christian Values

We keep our Christian Values in our HEARTS as we continue in life and learning.

  • Hope lifts children’s eyes to what is possible, helping them believe in their potential and approach learning with optimism and confidence.
  • Endurance encourages pupils to keep going when learning feels challenging, building resilience and a sense of achievement through steady effort.
  • Acceptance nurtures a community where every child feels valued for who they are, creating a safe foundation for learning and friendships to grow.
  • Reverence inspires awe, curiosity, and respect — for God, for one another, and for the world — enriching learning with wonder and responsibility.
  • Thankfulness helps children recognise the good around them, fostering joy, gratitude, and a positive attitude towards school life and learning.
  • Service teaches pupils to use their gifts to help others, strengthening community, compassion, and a shared commitment to making the school a better place.

Our Christian Values are supported by our Bible Passage:

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 14:3)

Our Bible verse speaks to the quiet confidence that every child can grow, learn, and persevere when they feel supported, valued, and encouraged. In our small first school, this message becomes deeply relevant to daily learning. It reminds our children that they are never expected to succeed alone; strength comes through relationships, belonging, and faith.

The Bible verse reinforces that God’s strength is expressed through the care we show one another. When children feel safe, loved, and understood, they are more willing to try new things and take learning risks.

Success is not about being the best, but about believing that with support—both human and divine—each child can make progress. The verse encourages resilience, effort, and the belief that challenges can be overcome.

Flourishing happens when children grow in confidence, character, and joy. The verse reminds us that true flourishing comes from knowing we are strengthened from within and surrounded by a community that nurtures our gifts.

Together, our values, verse and motto create a powerful message: with care, encouragement, and faith, every child can discover their strengths and flourish in learning and in life.
