This will be set each week on a Friday and needs to be completed by the following Thursday. This will be set online using the Mathletics or Purple Mash websites

Phonics and Reading

We follow the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised programme for phonics, spelling and reading in Key Stage One. 

Please click on the link here to access the area of the Little Wandle website which is for parents. The resources on this website will help you to support your child with saying their sounds and writing their letters. There are also some useful videos so that you can see how they are taught at school. 

Please encourage your child to read for 5-10 minutes every day and practise their phonemes and tricky words using the Little Wandle Home Learning sheet (if applicable). Your child's Little Wandle phonics book will be allocated to them each week on a Friday and can be accessed using the Collins e-book website. All of the information needed for this will be found in your child's home-school diary.
