We thoroughly enjoyed World Book Day again this year. There were lots of fabulous character hats! All of the children enjoyed sharing their special books with a buddy and took part in lots of other interesting activities during the day.
On Thursday 25th June Class 1 and Class 2 visited School on the Beach in Colwyn Bay. We all had an amazing time and found lots of fabulous sea creatures. We were lucky enough to find prawns and we were the first school group to do so for a long time. We also found a Mermaids Purse and learnt all about how this is where a type of shark had started its life. A fabulous day!
On Friday 19th June we invited our Dads along to join us for fish and chips. We had a lovely lunch cooked beautifully (as always!) by Mrs Johnson. Whilst the food was a great success the highlight of the day definitely seemed to be playtime. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more the children or adults :-)
We were invited to provide some additional entertainment at this years Church Fair. Mrs Devenport and Mrs Brammer worked very hard in a short period of time to produce two maypole dances and a circle dance with a very willing group of children. Almost 50% of the school took part and did a splendid performance that was enjoyed by all. Thank you to everyone involved, it was a lovely evening. Come along to our Summer Fair on Saturday 11th July between 11.00 am and 1.00 pm to see more dancing!
During Collective Worship this half term we have been thinking about God's Wonderful World and all of the beautiful things that we enjoy experiencing. These are some of the images that Class Two value in God's Wonderful World.
