Early Years

Spring Term 2019

Welcome to the Early Years Home page!

Spring Term First Half

This term we will be learning all about winter and we will try to answer our main learning question, 'Is it always cold in winter?' We will start our topic by exploring what we already know about winter and we will learn about some of the animals that live in cold places. At the end of the topic we will have the opportunity to discover more about where animals go in winter and how they might find their food.

Spring Term Second Half

In the second part of the term we will focus on the classic story of 'Jack and the Beanstalk'. We will try to answer our learning question, 'What happened to Jack's beans?' We will begin by growing our own magic beans and we will discover what is needed to care for living things. As the topic develops we will have lots of questions to investigate, such as 'What grows underground?' and 'What was in the golden egg?'
