How big is a raindrop?
As part of our Science learning question - How does the weather impact on what we do? - Class One asked the question, how big is a raindrop?
We thought of ways we could investigate this, and came up with lots of ideas, such as catching a raindrop in a jar, using a magnifying glass and a ruler or measuring a raindrop on a window! We decided to go outside and catch a raindrop on a piece of paper. We had to move fast to catch the rain and quickly draw around the raindrops before they disappeared!
We then counted our raindrops, identified the largest one and measured it using a ruler. There was lots of interesting discussions about whether our findings matched our prediction. What super scientist Class One are!
